YouTube: Homemade Chocolate Syrup
While it's easy to buy chocolate syrup at the store, it's almost as easy too make it yourself! It only requires five ingredients.
Pans needed: 2 quart saucepan.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (or just water)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder to your saucepan, then add 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon salt. Then add the wet ingredients, namely 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. You can even use water instead of milk. Bring to a simmer, and let it simmer for at least 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
You can serve immediately, and drizzle or pour your hot syrup over whatever you want: ice cream, cold fruit, cake, or anything. Or, let it cool off in the fridge, and thern you can add it to milk and make delicious chocolate milk.
