YouTube: I don't like the name "Slutty Brownies", but these brownies are AWESOME!
Okay, I'll say the name once: slutty brownies. Every time we see a video for these brownies, the video maker has to apologize for the name. But even though I don't have a problem with using the name "shit on a shingle", I can't agree with the name of these brownies because it's just too sexist. But these brownies are going to be stuck with this name, because they are just so amazing, they're worth making. We've got a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough and a layer of Oreo cookies, covered with a layer of brownies. One bite of these brownies is certain to get you addicted, and that's why we're making them now, even though I don't like the name.
The original recipe for these brownies comes from a British food and lifestyle blog, The Londoner: [https://www.thelondoner.me/2011/06/slutty-brownies.html] And when I saw this brownie, it was love at first sight. The original recipe calls them called "slutty brownies" because they're easy, they're naughty, they're ohhhh so good, and they make you feel guilty when you have them…but you keep coming back. I can't agree with the name of these brownies because it's just too sexist. But these brownies are going to be stuck with this name, because they are just so amazing, they're worth making. The original recipe says to use brownie mix, chocolate chip cookie dough (or mix), and Oreo cookies. I took this a step further and used chocolate chip cookie mix and brownie mix made from scratch. I could have really "gone all the way" and made homemade imitation Oreo cookies (there's a recipe for this online); but while homemade Oreo cookies are good, these are one of the few foods that can't be improved when you make them at home. So I used store-bought Oreos – actual brand name Oreos, not imitation Oreos, because regardless of the name these brownies deserve to be treated right.
They're so wonderful they're not going to be forgotten, but the only way we can get rid of that name is to rename them and somehow make the name popular enough that people will remember it. So, why not start here? As far as I'm concerned, these brownies are sinfully delicious and really addictive, so maybe we should call them "The Devil's brownies." It's still politically incorrect, because a lot of people consider big corporate food makers to be the modern day equal to the Devil. If you can come up with a better name, please do so! Maybe we'll find a name good enough that it'll stick, and these brownies will have a name they truly deserve. But regardless of the name, go ahead and make these, because they really are wonderful. And in the end, that's the most important part - these are some awesome brownies, and I hope you enjoy them.
These brownies are essentially made in three parts. In a cast iron pan, lay out three separate layers, one on top of the other:
  • Bottom layer: Chocolate chip cookie dough (Recipe: Giant Cookie in Cast Iron)
  • Middle layer: Oreo cookies
  • Top layer: Brownie mix (Recipe: Cast Iron Brownies)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare the mixes for each layer of these brownies. A deep casserole, dutch oven, or other deep pot is needed to prepare the brownies; this is too deep to prepare in a skillet or shallow baking pan.

Bottom Layer: chocolate chip cookie dough batter

Middle layer: Oreo cookies

Top Layer: brownie batter

Once the layers are prepared, bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes. Note that the cookie and brownie recipes call for a 40 minute baking time – but baking for only 35 minutes will give you brownies a bit more gooey.
